MyoFunctional therapy is a key PART of what I do but it is not the ONLY thing that I do. It is an avenue to get to proper, healthy, correct function of the muscles of the tongue, head and face.

Why?

For long term successful craniofacial growth, orthodontic results, sleep, airway patency and a healthy functional Temporomandibular jaw joint including the supportive muscles.

How?

By specific, well thought out exercises to be done off and on all day, to establish permanent posture for chewing, swallowing, nasal breathing and tongue rest posture day and night.

Achieving this also requires working on breath pattern, body posture day and night and sleep hygiene. There is also a cognitive behavioral component involved. I try to make my patients understand that it takes: time, repetition, diligence, immersion, and mindfulness to be successful with MyoFunctional Therapy.

Let's Work Together

In many cases, all we’re talking about is performing some simple exercises for a few minutes a day. Of all the treatment options available, myofunctional therapy is probably the least invasive. You can often do these exercises anytime and anywhere you want. Do them while you’re watching TV or while you’re cooking dinner. You can even do them while driving to work.

About Insurance:

I am fee for service only. I do not accept any insurance. I recommend checking with your HSA (Health Savings Account).

We have some codes you can send to your medical insurance provider to see what they'll cover, and we're happy to send those to you if you like. In most cases, the therapy is an out-of-pocket cost. The one exception is if you have a HSA (Health Savings Account) or FSA (Flexible Spending Arrangement) account – most plans will recognize and reimburse for myofunctional therapy.

I take Visa, Mastercard, cash or checks.

Please do not fear... I am affordable and will keep your expenses as low as possible.

NOTE:

I limit my practice to 5+ years and older.
